SASL Newsletter - Spring 2017 Issue Issue 5 - Spring 2017 | Page 15

Update on SASL Journal Jody H. Cripps As an Editor of SASL Journal, there are some unforeseen circumstances in the process of publishing the first issue which should be ready for publication sometime in February or March. However, I am pleased to tell you that we have 6 articles and they are in the final review process before publication. The first issue should be ready for publication in June or July. Also, I strongly encourage SASL members to submit their manuscripts as soon as possible for the second issue which will be published in November or December. SASL Journal serves as a focal point for academicians, professionals, graduate, and undergraduate students, fellows, and associates pursuing sign language-related research in the United States and Canada. To the members of SASL, your contribution of a piece to be printed in the newsletter is welcome. The content should be related to ASL and the number of words is between 500 – 1000. The same is true for you to keep an eye out for the ASL-related pieces that are already printed, but need to be reprinted in the SASL newsletter.
