THE HATS IN MOMMAS CLOSET
The hats in mommas closet are many can't you see.
With ten children and no husband,
they all looking at me.
For food and shelter, how can this be!
Today I wore ten hats, they were heavy on me.
They shook and wobbled, but they stayed on me.
I got sons and daughters, they get mad at me,
SAYING ;
you didn't do this, you didn't do that.
OH LORD JESUS! WHERE THE DADDY AT!
He left me to raise them and never looked back.
Now people wonder how could this be, this woman
got ten kids, and there's a glow about me.
I'll tell you a story, just a little about me.
At age thirteen, I was praying and Jesus came to me.
He gave me a helmet and vest that fit me.
Now the hats got heavy and wobbled on me,
but JESUS! SWEET JESUS!
He kept them on me.
With a twinkle in my
eye and a smile on face, I think i'll keep them
cause that's the mother in me!
