SEIFSA 75th Birthday dedication

The Southern African Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association( SARACCA) would like to take the opportunity to congratulate SEIFSA on its 75th year of hard work and dedication to the metal and engineering industry.

Over the years, SEIFSA has worked relentlessly to promote prolific and sustainable metal and engineering industries within Southern Africa. SARACCA has been a SEIFSA member for 57 years. During this period, we have witnessed various progresses within the association.
The developments that have taken place within the last 75 years assures us of the prosperity that is yet to come in the next 75 years. As an Association affiliated with SEIFSA, we look forward to the next decades with great anticipation.

THE ONE-STOP SHOP FOR CONSTRUCTION, ENGINEERING EMPLOYERS
The CEA( SA) represents employers engaged in the construction engineering industry, operating in the structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping and project management fields.
In addition to its own activities, the CEA has two active divisions: The Labour Broking Division and the Temporary Employment Services Division. The association also has close ties to the SA Institute of Steel Construction, the SA Institute of Welding and CAPES( Confederation of Associations in the Private Employment Sector).
It was founded in 1936 as the Transvaal Structural Engineering Association who was a founding member of SAFEMA( The South African Federation of Engineering and Metallurgical Associations, the forerunner of SEIFSA). In 1986 it changed its name to the Constructional Engineering Association( South Africa).
The CEA( SA) is 1 of 21 independent employer associations, each representing a different sector of the industry which together form the Steel and Engineering Industries Federation of Southern Africa( SEIFSA) and currently has a membership base of 274 member companies employing 64 655 employees.
The Association encourages all members to comply with all relevant legal requirements and in the case of the CEA( LBD) does accredit members who comply with a stringent 18-point compliance audit.
The Labour Broking Division was established in 1994 by members who recognizes the need to form a body in order to have a platform where this sector of industry has a voice. In the intervening years the founding members, comprising eight labour brokers have grown to over 80 members, which include many of the major brokers.
The Temporary Employment Services Division( TESD) was founded in 2003 and provides temporary employment service providers with a forum to regulate this specialised industry to serve the needs of their clients and to protect the rights of their candidates in a legally compliant environment. TESD members supply“ white collar” professionals such as draughtsmen, engineers, project managers and technicians to the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management( EPCM) industries, mining houses and the manufacturing industry.
