Jah Frozen, a native of Kingston, Jamaica, was born with music in his blood. As a young child he saw his biggest inspiration, his father, Noel Davey, play for reggae legends Damian and Julian Marley.
Discovering his love of music at a young age, Jah Frozen started playing the piano at the age of five. While a student at Calabar High School, he became a well known producer by the name of Ice Mafia. He started his own label, Ice Mafia Productions, where he created rhythms of great sound and influence. After he completed high school, he attended The University of Technology.
