The color black referred to as an object absorbs all the colors of the visible spectrum and reflects none of them to the naked eye. The color black is associated with power, fear, death, evil, aggression, and formality to name a few of its associations. Black as a nationality has been for centuries a controversial topic that never seems to permanently disappear, and being Black is one of the most racially victimized ethnicities in America.

Estelle California is a native of France. She was born during a time of oppression, violence, and racial indifference. Experiencing this as a child and imprinting in the subconscious White Supremacy and dominance deeply affected her psychologically. During her upbringing at the tender age of 5, music was a call that could not be silenced by one who had no voice nor mattered during that time as a result of the master and servant mentality and division. Music was her hide-away and place of refuge where she could dream of freedom, justice, and equality. Her musical journey began with the piano, to the saxophone, to a dancer and at the age of twenty-six she began formal operatic training. www.estellecalifornia.com
