Affectionately known as The Bridge Man, Dave has been photographing bridges of New York since 1993. Not only does he bring to the world amazing pictures of the Magnificent Bridges of New York City, but it is the way in which he does it.
Having been a gymnast for 20 years during the early part of his life, Dave has no fear. He vividly remembers when his grandfather first took him to the top of the Empire State Building when he was young and the exhilarating feeling he experienced of being up so high. His fearlessness led him to do something that no other photographer has done – climb these mammoth structures which he now refers to as engineering masterpieces!
Dave first began his photographic journey when he was just seven years old. His first camera, the Kodak “Brownie” was not only significant to him but to the artist who instilled in him his passion and vision for photography. Dave’s father had a poster of the famous portrait of “Moonrise” over Hernandez, Mexico by Ansel Adams hanging in his home. Having looked at the poster for years, Dave became intrigued with the genius behind the photographer in taking the picture.
