SYNAPSE - 2014
As an organism, every

“Purush”, an outpouring of imagination, an
organism. Jain chronicles view the world is
seen as being constantly volatile, a slithering
serpent & never stable. Our mind likewise
wavers from the optimistic to pessimistic gaze
or upward boom to bust. Thus to be nimble,
organizations need to be like an organism. An
organization is insensitive to and an organism
is intuitive to the world around it. The organization is a set of rules that people follow,
while the organism is a set of people who
follow rules. Organizations work well with
single markets, while organisms when dealing
with multiple markets. We see good time in
one market and bad in another, so a single or
global strategy may not always work. Local
strategy will gain further prominence. Matrix
structures will rule as they look into the problems within the context of the local or community. Thus consensus will not be the criteria
but trust and understanding!
cancer and destruction, while suboptimal
growth results in death or degeneration.
Organizations are goal-based, with a view, I
look at the market and they look at me, further
we all look at the market. Organisms are more
gaze-based. I look at them and they look at the
market, which makes it a continuous and ongoing process.
HR will thus emulate this idea and support the
organization to transform into an organism as
a part of its strategy with courage and responsibility!

To transform from an organization to an organism, people need to understand both the
universal and particular (big picture & individual roles). Leaders would be dispersed so
taking common views of the marketplace a
consensus will be reached. Teamwork and
collaboration will largely wipe out hierarchy
& autocracy.

A hierarchy is survival of the fittest, but as an
organism, every leader will have to encourage
the other to be a leader, evoke the potential
and help deal with context in order to deliver.
This cascade will create an organism.
