The # Medals2Medal Marathon design showcases the best of our Global City , showing off views of Table Mountain , the DHL Stadium , and other iconic landmarks .

Sanlam Cape Town Marathon and The Running Tree Campaign << read more here >> have come together with a shared vision of sustainable change . Through this collaboration , some 1,000 Spekboom saplings and 5,000 potted plants will be distributed to Trail and Peace Run finishers . Please take one as you leave on Saturday !

A world-class event deserves a world-class trophy , and we are honoured to have our winners ’ trophies designed by iconic design house Carrol Boyes .
Designed by Madeleine Morgan , the marathon winners ’ trophies feature the “ suurvy ” - sour fig - a plant familiar to all Capetonians , and symbol of toughness and tenacity - qualities all marathoners share . On the men ’ s and women ’ s trophy , the suurvy ’ s bold leaves are a local take on the laurel wreath , circling and raising the bowl to celebrate the winners of the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon .
