As a writer, Isis Bobadilla has narrated stories and poetry, and this is how she fuses Art and Legend in her earthen vessels. With themes Tibetan, Hindu, pre-Hispanic, or simply inspired by universal philosophies, Isis plays with symbols, mantras, hieroglyphics, and rock figures. His pieces, besides art, are definitely a totem, a spiritual piece. «When you plaster a mantra or ancestral symbols in the mud, it works like a constant chant to your surroundings» Isis began to experiment as a potter from 2007, has exhibited his pieces in various spaces: art room of the hacienda Juriquilla hotel in the city of Querétaro, Museum of the masks in Bernal, Qro, Axolotl Gallery in Guadalajara Jalisco, and San Miguel de Allende in El Faro Cultural Center. Isis creates her vessels because in them she wants to tell stories. Each vessel, from its form to what it represents, tells a very significant story, which transports us in time, and makes us imagine. «People react to the spirituality of a piece of clay, take it between their hands as something divine and delicate, respects and gives some worship, that tells me a lot about the tenderness, respect, kindness, the sensitivity and the compassion in the peo- le, and that all, flourishes before the art. Isis Bobadilla currently resides in San Miguel de Allende, struggling a little with her nomadic soul that has taken her to know every corner of her beloved Mexico, enjoying the spirituality, calm, and serenity that gives her being creative of these pieces, who will always be part of this artist.
