GENERAL MARIANO NECOCHEA: HIS LIFE.

PLACE OF BIRTH Buenos Aires, Viceroyalty of the Rio de la Plata (now Argentina).
EARLY LIFEIn 1802, he was sent to Spain for his education. In 1809 he returned to Buenos Aires.
FACTS ABOUT HIS LIFE:He fought in the battle of Chacabuco under General Las Heras. He also took part in the battle of San Lorenzo.
FAMILYHis brother Eugenio Necochea was a noted soldier for Chile and fought beside him occasionally.
DATE OF DEATH April 5th, 1849.
PLACE OF DEATHMiraflores, Peru.
HIS REMAINSGeneral Peron requested the government of Peru to send back the remains of Necochea, but they refused because Necochea had decided to become a Peruvian citizen, the people of Peru loved him and he had lived more time in Peru than in Argentina.
