Happy 40th Birthday to San Diego LGBT Pride!!!! The volunteers, staff, and board of directors of San Diego LGBT Pride are pleased to welcome you to the 40th Annual San Diego LGBT Pride Celebration! The theme for the ruby anniversary celebration is “Reflections of Pride.” It is amazing that within the span of just 40 years, people in our city have gone from marching in the streets, bags over their heads, to parading proudly next to their legally recognized spouses and children. We must remember that even within our own neighborhoods there are those who suffer prejudice because of their gender, gender identity and expression, HIV status, or disability. In a very real way your attendance at the annual two-day festival helps further San Diego LGBT Pride’s mission to foster pride in and respect for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities locally, nationally, and globally. The proceeds from the festival fund the annual Pride celebration, our year round programs, grants to local community organizations that provide services for the LGBTQ community, and
