Florence
Our next stop was one of my favourites of the trip, Florence. I'm still not sure quite what it was about the city that
made me love it so much, whether it was the amazing architecture or the general artiness of the place, but whatever
it was I loved it. I’d learnt a small amount about the city’s ancient history through research on Da Vinci, so being able
to walk around the streets and recognise buildings was really special. Perhaps the only detractor of the city, which is
something unavoidable in most of Europe’s big attractions, was just how flooded it was with tourists, which in my
eyes at least tainted its beauty a little.
