KOBAYASHI SETS FASTEST LAP
The #2 Porsche 919 Hybrid and the #6 Toyota
TS050 Hybrid continue to do battle for the
outright lead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Toyota
driver Kamui Kobayashi eclipsed Mark Webber’s
benchmark for the fastest lap, setting a new best
time of 3:21.445.
The Japanese driver moved to the front of the
field at 20:46 while the 919 Hybrid was in the
pits for refuelling. Timo Bernhard took over the
driving duties at this point. The sixth hour of the
race also saw the #7 Audi R18 re-enter the top
10 of the general classification. Marcel Fässler
was in seventh place.
