El col · lectiu londinenc Plus-Minus obre la temporada de Sampler Sèries amb una mostra de música britànica d’ avantguarda. Repetitions in extended time, del compositor anglès Bryn Harrison( 1969) se centra en l’ exploració del temps musical a través de la repetició de materials sonors que es mostren des de diferents angles i perspectives. L’ obra, de 43 minuts de durada, juga amb la memòria auditiva i amb els punts de referència i de desorientació que pot generar la repetició en l’ oient a través de la reexaminació obsessiva d’ un objecte. Sis Artificial Environments, de Joanna Bailie, que es basen en la interacció d’ enregistraments de camp amb instruments acústics, completen el programa.
The London collective Plus-Minus opens the Sampler Sèries season with a taste of avant-garde British music. Repetitions in extended time, by the English composer Bryn Harrison( 1969), centres on the exploration of musical time through the repetition of sound materials that are shown from different angles and perspectives. The piece, lasting 43 minutes, plays with the auditory memory and with the points of orientation and disorientation that repetition can generate in the listener through the obsessive reexamination of an object. Six Artificial Environments, by Joanna Bailie based on the interaction of field recordings with acoustic instruments, complete the programme.
