Stephanie Clark

AlixPartners

London, UK

Position (job title and firm): Vice President at AlixPartners

Most interesting matter you've worked on? Working on Ocean Rig – the largest ever cross-border restructuring in Cayman Islands. It won Restructuring Deal of the Year in the Energy Sector in the Annual International M&A Awards and I’m immensely proud of our work. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to actually go out to Cayman for the job, but there’s always next time.

Role in IWIRC? Treasury Co-Chair of the London Network

Favorite IWIRC event you've attended? Our 1 Year Anniversary Party – we’re all so proud to have reached that milestone.

What is one skill/hobby/interest most people may not know about you? I spent the last year completing a Masters degree in gender studies. I spend a lot of time talking about gender inequality within the restructuring industry, particularly through leading the local chapter of our women’s network at AlixPartners and through IWIRC, and I wanted to improve my academic understanding of gender to make sure I am able to do this effectively.

Who is your role model? Sara Ahmed – an amazing writer, academic, and role model for leading a feminist life.

What are you most looking forward to in DC? Going to see the Air and Space Museum (my first degree was in physics, and rocketry was my favorite subject). ….and obviously meeting my fellow IWIRC members from around the globe.
