Because this population is growing at such a quick pace it is important that members of the health care community provide health care in a culturally sensitive manner. Healthcare providers must create an atmosphere of caring which intertwines both traditional cultural beliefs and western biomedical components in order to ensure that they provide the patient with the best possible treatment.
