Pitta Dosha is the controlling of the digestive system, metabolism, and appetite. Eating sour foods, spicy foods, spending too much time in the sun and not eating can cause an imbalance among the pitta dosha of the body. Kapha Dosha controls the muscle growth, body strength, weight, and immune system within one’s body. (Narayanasamy, 2006). Things that prevent the balance within it include, daytime sleeping, eating after being full, eating too much sweets, and eating and drinking too many things with salt in it (Chang 2012).
