The story of how Dustin and Brianna Barnett got married isn ’ t typical , to say the least .
The Corbin couple had only been dating for a few months back in 2011 , when Dustin — a member of the Kentucky National Guard — got word that he would be deploying to Iraq .
“ It started in May ,” Dustin recalled , explaining that his unit was first sent to Camp Atterbury , Indiana , for training . “ We flew into Kuwait in mid-July .”
