LONDON — Joining the military wasn ’ t something Laura Walden had always dreamed of doing but after
Walden becomes first female to work full-time at London ’ s National Guard in 20 years of service
a 20-year career in the Army , she couldn ’ t imagine her life going any other way .
“ I didn ’ t grow up with the dream that I was going to be a soldier , it just hit one day and I was like ‘ failure was not an option ,’” Walden said .
Walden grew up in the small town of Danielsville , Pennsylvania with her parents , her two brothers and
