fishing attracts more and more anglers
and the advent of drone fishing has
significantly increased the number of
anglers wanting to target big sharks and
rays and very often, these new-comers
don’t have the right tackle to take on
these big fish or sufficient knowledge
to correctly land and handle them once
they have got them close to the beach.
So please guys, if you see someone
battling for too long with a fish or
struggling to get a fish those last few
meters on to the rocks or beach, put
the animal’s interests first and go and
assist where you can.
Let’s get these fish on to the beach,
unhooked, have a few quick photos
taken and back in the water as quickly
as possible so that they stand the best
chance of survival. If an angler has
everything ready and in place a shark
or ray shouldn’t have to spend any
longer than a few minutes out of the
water.
Pass the correct etiquette along
and we’ll have healthy non-edible
populations around for years to come.
In this month’s edition we bring you the

everyone so excited.
