...OR WILL THEY? I f the anti-hatchery extremists are successful, sport fishing as we know it will be non-existent. In just over a year, the Hatchery & Wild Coexist Coalition has grown to almost 10,000 social media followers, and close to 200 business and sport fishing organization partners. Our voice is getting louder, and politicians, policymakers and Northwest citizens are paying attention. Changing the misguided anti-hatchery narrative is paying off with shifting perceptions and more knowledgeable advocates. Bottom Line: Our hatchery-based approach supporting abudant and healthy fisheries is being heard. And future generations of anglers, endangered Orcas and wild fish will benefit.
