Salming Handball 14/15
Salming is the athlete’s brand, we are constantly looking for new ways to play,
new demands, and new needs. In the world of Handball old truths often need to be
reconsidered, good can always be a little bit better, you can always work a little bit
harder. But sometimes, it really is up to the equipment, and that is the occasions we
target when we develop our Handball gear.

The past season 13/14 Salming launched several new exciting products that really make a
difference for the player, among those - the very popular Salming Race shoes. Utilizing the very
best technical achievements – the T.G.S. 62/75°, the ExoSkeleton™ and the RollBar™ from it’s
predecessor - The Salming Xfactor™, Race is a light weight mesh shoe built to provide stability
and stimlulate the foot’s natural movement. The exo skeleton keeps the foot in place and the
RE35 mid sole compound adds more cushioning than its predecessor.
Season 14/15 Salming steps up the shoe race a notch by launching a new updated and improved
Race range, but also two hot new shoe models – The Salming Viper & The NinetyOne Handball
goalie shoe, the latter endorsed by Mattias Andersson of the Swedish National Handball Team
and SG Flensburg-Handewitt.
The Salming Viper is a fast paced agile shoe with a low profile and excellent stability
characteristics. It incorporates the very best of Salming Indoor shoe technologies and then some.
If you’re a fan of the Salming Race model you will find the Viper lower and with less cushioning
in the fore-foot area, enabling a more close-to-the-court feel plus a lighter and more breathable
upper. The construction has its origin in the Salming Running shoes, where it has been very well
received with its three layer system where the unique Salming ExoSkeleton™ keeps the foot
in place. Agile, fast paced with a low profile – The Viper.
The season of 13/14 marked the start of the co-operation between Salming and Bundesliga
Teams Melsungen (Men) and Thüringer (Women). These co-operations has turned out to be
very successful and is the very reason that these two teams are headlining the Salming
Handball global market communication season 14/15.

is another success story. The second season of the Academy, featuring Head Coach Magnus
Wislander and his entourage of promising young handball players on the rise (SG FlensburgHandewitt Hampus Wanne being one of them), has attracted even more interest than the first
season. The focus, as always, is to inspire the individual handball player to improve his or her
game by providing tips and tricks earned through a life long handball career that rendered Magnus
the title The Best Handball Player of the 20th Century.
