CRICKET (Under 19)
SALCC once again took part in the Cricket under 19 competition. As defending champions, they
worked hard and remained focused to put a great display of sportsmanship. OH LOVELY
CRICKET! Here is a quick review of the season:
Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary on Friday, 15 th February 2019
The game took place at the Balata Playing Field, Sir Arthur Lewis Community College defeated a
very spirited Leon Hess team by 27 runs. SALCC batted first in a game reduced to 47 overs a
side, and was able to make 189 runs for 9 in their allotted overs.
Dhan-Raj Cepal led the scoring with a well compiled knock of 67 runs which included 6 fours and
4 sixes. Kyle Adonis made 16 runs, Rashad Gaston made 15 and Kervell Prospere made 13 not
out, provided good support.
Bowling for Leon Hess Comprehensive, skipper Keygan Arnold 3 for 21 in 10
overs, Benniah Monzie 2 for 23 in 4 overs, Evans Deterville 2 for
50 in 8 overs and 1 wicket to Denzel Albert. In reply,
Leon Hess led by a half century from Udel Preville
who fought gallantly but fell 27 runs short of
their target, finishing on 162 all out in 40
overs. Udel Preville batted very sensibly with
an even 50 which included 6 fours. Other
useful scores came from Keygan Arnold with
23, Shaunil Edward 19 and Sanjay Francis 11.
Bowling for SALCC, Sheldon Busby 4 for 21 in 6 overs, Kyle Adonis 3 wickets
for 4 runs in 7 overs and 1 wicket each to Nyeem Rosemond, Dhan-raj Chaz Cepal and Kervelle
Prospere.
RESULT:
SIR ARTHUR LEWIS COMMUNITY COLLEGE DEFEATED LEON HESS
COMPREHENSIVE SECONDARY SCHOOL BY 27 RUNS.

At the Balata Playing Field, Sir Arthur Lewis Community College defeated Babonneau Secondary
by 80 runs.
