Linda Strotman
Linda Strotman is retiring from teaching after 38 years, 25
of those years at SUA. She teaches Spanish language and
culture and has educated thousands of students over the
years. Some of her favorite experiences include taking
two student immersion trips to Spain in 1994 and 1996.
“They were 28 days each in duration and were also
homestay programs with Spanish families in Spain,”
reflected Strotman. “They were very successful programs
and the students experienced Spanish life firsthand. They
also took culture and conversation classes in Salamanca,
Spain.”
She shares a few words of wisdom for today’s and
tomorrow’s students. “Be true to yourself. Continue
the challenge of being women of integrity, nurturers,
leaders and prophets. Trust in God and be grateful for
all that you have.”

Former student Malaika Robinson
’01 shared a message for Mrs.
Strotman upon hearing of her
upcoming retirement.
“Mrs. Strotman, long before studying
Chinese at Columbia University,
I learned from you that learning
other languages can expand both
one’s understanding of the world and
one’s self. Thank you for sharing
your patience, support, and warmth
with so many young women at SUA
over the years. Congratulations on
your retirement!“
