Under
the
circumstances

it
is,
competition
law
has
to
be
put
into
place
to
encourage
the
existing
variety
of
available
services
and
prevent
the
monopoly
of
the
industry
by
large
firms;
without
this,
smaller
businesses
would
give
way
to
larger
corporations.
These
could
potentially
raise
prices
and
extort
consumers
due
to
a
lack
of
cheaper
alternatives.
In
summary,
the
practice
of
dentistry
involves
the
amalgamation
of
many
different
types
of
laws
under
the
English
law
system,
due
in
part
to
the
variety
of
procedures
it
involves,
and
also
the
importance
of
the
ethics
that
accompany
it.
