Tom Ryan toasted Gary Kessler as a charter member of the Breakfast Club and the teacher who brought wood shop to Saint David ’ s . He thanked Gary for being “ a kind , understanding , patient , and generous friend .”
Jim Barbieri , noted that he and Joe Kilkeary had been Seventh Grade homeroom teachers together for 30 years . He paid tribute to Joe ’ s dedication and commitment to his students . “ Joe always got the boys excited about learning because he is a lifelong learner .”
John Dearie ’ 95 , recalled Mike Imbelli as “ the best algebra teacher I ever had in Saint David ’ s in the Eighth Grade year , and I only had one !” In seriousness , he noted how Mike truly cared about his students , was always their “ champion and advocate ,” and that the last few years working with Mike in Secondary School Counseling had been a privilege .
