Tara and Rachel at the Nurses Tent on the first day of school , August 31 , 2020 .
year went a long way , having the downtime was really good for me . It also really helped to have Rachel to talk to .
Rachel : Being able to vent . I run too , that ’ s my stress release .
At this time , 97 percent of faculty and staff are vaccinated . To what do you attribute the success ?
Tara : I think people were ready and that Rachel was really on it . She would provide links and specific help . People really wanted to be vaccinated , but obtaining a vaccine was a frustrating experience at the beginning .
Rachel : Melanie Formosa was super helpful . She was able to locate a lot of the sites online and helped to schedule vaccines for faculty and staff who needed the help .
Fun facts about yourselves ?
Tara : I got married last summer to my husband Jose . We don ’ t have kids . We spend time bike riding , doing yoga and hiking . I have lots of nieces and nephews and I enjoy spending time with them .
Rachel : My husband , Paul and I are about to celebrate our 11th anniversary . Fun fact — we ’ ve known each other since we were nine years old , and went to school together from third grade . We have two kids , Sam and Jane . We like to be at our beach house , watch movies , eat good food and travel ( which we are thrilled to be able to do again soon !). M
