▲ Special thanks to Saint David’ s own, WILL LULKA’ 19 for joining our‘ Community Club’ one morning. During the session, the Dartmouth junior @ dartmouthmsoccer spoke to our second and third grade boys about how his time at Saint David’ s has helped in shaping his athletic journey and leadership development. Will later shared that leadership is not necessarily about being the best player on the team; but rather,“ it’ s about bringing people together, encouraging teammates, and helping everyone improve.” His message was clear: true leaders elevate those around them. Thanks for visiting, Will- and we will see you in June for Spring Gathering.
JOSHUA DOOLAN’ 14 and BENJAMIN DOOLAN’ 16 cofounded their AI startup TamLabs last year. TamLabs builds AI tools for professional services. Joshua and Benjamin participated in the Y Combinator startup accelerator in San Francisco, where their company is headquartered.
Benefit attendee VAN GILES’ 94 shares,“ Durham is a lovely 65 degrees- much better than 8 degrees( windchill-16) when I left LGA on Saturday, first week of February! We just had the Duke / UNC game last week, in Chapel Hill, and the Cameron game is coming in March. Great time to be a college basketball fan along Tobacco Road!
ROBERT CONNOLLY’ 12 Remains NYC-based, missionbased: working in Biotech investing, focus on developing new therapeutic drugs.
As shared via DM from NICK READ‘ 92,“ I miss the morning handshakes before starting the day in home room... Reading the 25 + for 75 series takes me back. I remember Ms. Boccella as my art teacher, Mark Von Sternberg and I loved her class- and Tom Ryan is my favorite English teacher- OF ALL-TIME!”
Your“ 25 + for 75” series saved the best for last: Tom Ryan is an institution and represents everything that is exceptional about Saint David’ s. Thank you for the celebratory anniversary series- and please give Tom our fondest regards. JEANNE AND EAMON MCANANEY’ 83.
▲ Georgetown graduate, DYLAN CAMPIONE’ 17 interviews former MLB star and the recipient of the Roberto Clemente Award, Curtis Granderson to discuss his continued humanitarian service via Side Retired Podcast.“ Grateful to have had the chance to learn from one of the game’ s great ambassadors.”
MICHAEL RAFAEL’ 73 still has the red SD t-shirt that he prized from graduation. Michael shares with us,“ my three oldest & best friends( Tony Alfieri, John Cannon & Chris Duma) all met in kindergarten at Saint David’ s. Tony and John are both lawyers, Chris is a brain surgeon, while I work on Broadway. Each of us can quote everyday lessons in life that we learned at Saint David’ s. It’ s an education that literally lasts a lifetime, and extends way beyond the classroom.”
