THURSDAY MORNING’ S MASS saw more than 1,000 present in person at St. Ignatius Loyola( with an additional 400 + on livestream), representing decades of alumni and alumni families, as well as our current school body. Bishop Edmund Whalen presided with Rev. Christopher Keenan OFM, former Chaplain; Rev. Kevin Madigan, Pastor, St. Thomas More Church; Rev. Chris Devron, S. J., President of Regis; Rev. Dennis J. Yesalonia, S. J., Pastor, Church of St. Ignatius Loyola; and Rev. Brendan W. Gottschall, S. J., Chaplain co-celebrating. As noted by Headmaster O’ Halloran,“ It was truly a celebration of who we were, who we are, and who we want to be.”
During the service, Ben White’ 58, member of our first graduating class, and Patrick Dere’ 25, member of our most recent alumni class, together carried the gifts to the altar.
Another highlight: a rendition of the inspirational song " Seed to Sow," arranged by our Music Chair Jeff Moore and featuring our First Choir, Bell Choir, and Percussion Ensemble. In it, Mr. Moore, through lyrics he wrote for this rendition, presented an inspiring and apt observation for this anniversary year as,“ We look back with pride, and ahead with joy.”
