Saint David's Magazine 75th Anniversary Issue | Page 44

Since 1951, Saint David’ s School has been defined by a clear mission: to shape young men of“ ideas and ideals, action and reflection.” What began with the vision of Louise Hoguet and nine founding Catholic families has flourished from a single townhouse with four students into a world-class institution on East 89th Street.
This special edition celebrates our 75-year legacy of balance— intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and spiritual. At Saint David’ s, we do more than teach; we invest in understanding how boys learn. Through a mastery of academic skills and a strong sense of self-confidence, our boys are empowered to fulfill their highest potential as creative, scholarly, and athletic individuals with an enduring love of learning.
Guided by our four pillars— academics, arts, athletics, and spirituality, we remain steadfast in the aspiration of our founders: ut viri boni sint— that they be good men.
