“ Personally, these 55 years have blinked by, just as Saint David’ s has hurtled to its 75th! May the years be kind to us all.”
And speaking of people, these 55 years are marked with meeting faculty members that have also shaped me. I mention faculty because we are all tied to the boys. As with the boys, I could not possibly name all of the wonderful people I have had the privilege and pleasure of working with, lest I risk inadvertently omitting someone. I am forever grateful and indebted to all the faculty who mentored me when I was a young, new teacher. From Day One, I looked up to Bob McLaughlin, Bill Ryan, and Ray Feerick – some of the smartest people I’ ve ever met. I learned a great deal from their collective wisdom and from other longtime faculty. I will also always particularly cherish the annual Yankees excursions of The Four Amigos( Joe Kilkeary, Bob McLaughlin, Mike Imbelli, and yours truly). We had such fun— almost as much fun as in our classes! Reflecting upon all of the colleagues I’ ve collaborated with, I marvel at how each has made their unique, indelible mark upon this school. •
