The second survey was conducted in September through October 18 , 2024 . There were two parts to the survey : an interactive map and a standard question and answer format . The following information provides a summary of the data collected .
Top Outcomes Of Interest
• When asked if their community would benefit from traffic calming , nearly 90 % said , “ Yes ”
• Traffic calming ideas included lowering speed limits , better stop sign visibility and increased patrols
• Participants would like to learn information from the City Council about safety improvements , enforcement actions and annual crash data
• Respondents would like to learn information through the City website , public meetings / forums and City email
• Top schools listed that can benefit from safety improvements are :
o Viridian Elementary o Arlington High School o Sam Houston High School o Mary Moore Elementary o Bailey Junior High
• Possible organizations that could help spread information about the Safe Streets Arlington program are : o Heart of Arlington Neighborhood Association ( HANA )
