Striping
• Keep roads and crosswalks properly striped . Many are faded . Rain and night driving is aGected .
• Restripe road and crosswalks .
• A lot of traGic stripes faded .
Miscellaneous
• Keep bicycle lanes properly swept so cyclists can actually ride in the bike lane without debris pushing them closer to traGic .
• At least one stakeholder is happy to share programs / speaker at Neighborhood Groups , Rotary Clubs , and other community organizations .
• Collaborations with academic institutions that specialize in transportation safety , human behavior and public policy may provide valuable information regarding safety measure or test projects . Discussions regarding high crash location . Someone has already built a better mouse trap .
• Insurance markets can help ensure that policies and incentives are aligned with reducing road-related risks and fostering safer driving behavior .
• Utilize Waze App data .
• Work with UTA .
• Drivers frequently stop past the stop bar in the crosswalk .
• More enforcement presence is needed .
• Speed is an issue – need more traGic calming , traGic circles , raised crossings .
• Ask Arlington App is buggy – GPS is not accurate ; people can ’ t get updates on issues they ’ ve submitted .
