PUBLIC MEETING SUMMARY
OVERVIEW
The first Safe Streets Arlington Public Meeting was conducted on Thursday , March 7 , 2024 , at East Library and Recreation Center .
The meeting was promoted through social media posts , email , and flyers in English , Spanish , and Vietnamese . Examples of the social media post are displayed ( left ). Spanish and Vietnamese translators were on hand to assist with any requested interpretive services during the meeting .
As participants entered the room , they were asked to identify on a map where they live and where they work , as depicted in the photo ( below ).
Shortly after 6 pm , the project team provided a presentation , prior to dividing the room up into five tables teams . For their break-out sessions , participants were asked to address the following items : 1 . What are Arlington ’ s top safety issues ? 2 . Where are Arlington ’ s top safety issues ? 3 . Where would you put your money ?
