explore kenya

By Felix Achanda
From boat rowing, sky walking to mountain climbing, Bantu Lodge in Nanyuki is a haven for those thrilled by daring escapades.

Located 15 kilometers from Nyanyuki town, the lodge has five star hotels, great camping facilities and pays homage to vast species of indigenous trees, fish, birds and crocodiles. The lodge is also a base for climbing Mount Kenya.

Adults pay Sh200 to access the facility while children part with Sh100. The fee however doesn’ t cover access to the crocodile park inside the facility. The facility has enough parking spaces for visitors.
Your tour will begin with the scary but exhilarating sky walk. This is a wooden trail held above the ground by ropes tied to trees. The place offers spectacular views of the whole lodge. However, only visitors with nerves as strong as the ropes holding the raised path will venture into the daunting challenge.

For those willing to tackle the adventure as a team, then, boat rowing and fishing come in handy. Tourists usually cheer family and friends with every catch from the ponds.
Nature lovers will be treated to a charming walk in the forest as they listen to birds singing and insects calling. Random sights of monkeys leaping from one tree to another is another spectacle for the visitors.
