SAEVA Congress 2018 Proceedings | 12-15 February 2018 | ATKV Goudini Spa injury. Bony changes associated with degenerative joint disease are commonly imaged along the medial aspect of the femorotibial joint, involving the distal medial femur and the proximal medial tibia. Degenerative joint disease – medial femorotibial joint Cruciate ligament desmitis is uncommon but similar changes in echogenicity, fiber alignment and cross-sectional area of the cruciate ligaments occur with injury. Bony changes associated with the insertion of the cranial cruciate on the proximal tibia are detectable ultrasonographically but only with the stifle flexed during the examination. Osseous cyst-like lesions can be imaged, most frequently in the medial femoral condyle and may be imaged best with the limb flexed. Medial femoral condylar cyst Selected References 1. 2. 3.
