The articulation processes of the lumbar vertebrae can be visualized. They
can be seen with the transducer held transversely slightly parasagittaly and
directed slightly ventromedially, as two short hyperechoic lines immediately
lateral and near to the base of the DSPs. They should be smooth and regular.
