Come join the BRIDGES EQUESTRIAN TEAM with a few of your closest friends for 2 hours of Riding and learning about horses. Come spend your special day riding, playing games and horsin’ around with your new “herd” at BRIDGES! • Safety and get acquainted meeting • Grooming and tacking • Riding Lesson with games • Feed and care of the horse • Gift bag for each rider • 30 minutes in our “Party Area” for your own cake, ice cream, etc or we can provide the complete packages with cake, ice cream and all the trimmings available for $10 each student. Five Friendly Certified Instructors*, maximum 2-1 student to instructor ratio, 25 lesson horses & ponies, covered arenas, and a beautiful tree covered facility. Twenty-five gentle and patient horses, along with their equally patient human trainers, will introduce you to the beautiful world of horses with this basic horsemanship course. Together, they will guide you through haltering, leading, grooming, tacking, riding and basic horse psychology. You get enough sleep, eat lots of fruit and vegetables, exercise everyday, but realize there is something you haven’t done in a long time. Hmm…what is missing? You make the long-awaited call and you’ve got yourself a dental appointment. OK…I agree that the thought of a dental visit can instill fear in many of you. One way to allay any fear is to be informed. More and more, we need to be informed patients to help us make the best decisions and feel comfortable with them. Here are some things to consider for your next dental visit: Why do I have a problem when I have regular checkups and dental cleanings? You are done with your dental X-rays, exam, and cleaning and your dentist recommends some work to be done. A concern I oftentimes hear from patients is that they get their teeth cleaned regularly with checkups and don’t understand why they still need to have dental work such as a filling or a crown. What did they do wrong? To explain, regular maintenance with dental cleanings does not prevent your teeth from breaking down from decay or wear over time. Dental cleanings are mainly meant to maintain the health of the gums and jaw bone. The gums and the jaw bone are important in that they serve as the anchors to our teeth. Without healthy gums and bone, our teeth would get loose and fall out. Dental cleanings need to be done on a regular basis to maintain the gums’ health. On the other hand, a filling or a crown is to repair damage (e.g. decay or fracture) to a tooth. Regular dental exams with dental xrays determine if there is new decay, broken fillings or other problems brewing that need to be fixed right away. If I have a cavity, why doesn’t the tooth hurt?
