Zoom Robotics
Power up with us! This team-oriented robotics class
allows students to engage with computer programming
in order to make robots come to life! The program is
based on national science education standards and
allows students to experience first-hand the world of
competition robotics. Students will learn to use LEGO
MINDSTORMS’ competition NXT kits and programming
language to work individually and create the coolest
robot and program them to perform basic tasks around
the classroom. Come spark your interest with robots,
learn some cool skills and maybe you will be next year’s
champion!

Has your student expressed an interest in storytelling
and needs some help refining their writing skills? Fear
not, as our writing workshop is for the aspiring author
of any level! Students will acquire new skills when exploring different mediums such as journal entries and
short stories as well as learn about the unique writing
styles of various well-known authors. This class will
help improve grammar skills, introduce new vocabulary
terms and give students more confidence when sharing
their stories with their peers. Come spin a tale with us!

Super Sitters
In just a few hours, girls and boys 11 years and older will
learn how to prevent accidents, what to do in case of an
emergency, fun things to do to help the hours go by fast,
job hunting and finances. Don’t be just a babysitter be

a SUPER SITTER! Bring a pen and note pad. Parents:
plan to attend the last 15 minutes.

Glee Club Summer
Perform a song at the OC Fair! This class is especially
for older students, male and female, to learn how to
improve their skills. Learn how to sing better, how to
read music, and even how to move on stage. At the
same time learn new pop songs at Glee Team. Bring
a sack lunch every day and be ready to have a ton of
fun. On Thursday, we will be heading to the Orange
County Fair. Call time for the show is 10:15 am and
the performance is at 12:15 pm. We will need parents
to help us drive there.
Dress: Wear comfortable pants you can move in
with closed toed shoes.

Video Game Design
Basic Video Game Design
Design and build your own Windows-based video
games. Emphasizing a creative and inventive process
with a no-violence policy, participants will learn the basic
mechanics of game-design, object-oriented programming. Participants will take home their own video game
to share with family and friends. Please bring USB drive
with lanyard or you can purchase at the class for $10.

ADVANCED VIDEO GAME DESIGN
Students continue to learn basic programming skills with
the Game Maker software to make a side-scrolling game
(like Mario). Additional discussion and teaching on more

Glee Team Summer
Youth
This class is especially for elementary aged students,
male and female, to learn how to improve their skills.
Learn how to sing better, how to read music, and even
how to move on stage. At the same time learn new pop
songs at Glee Week. On the last day we will have a
talent show for parents and friends at 11:00am. Sing
a solo or sing with friends. Talent show auditions will
be Tuesday so come ready with your gig. The closing
number will be a joint song that we will learn together
during the week. Class assumes you can read words
well.
