UPDATE on Partners: Chicago Office Partners’ staff and Chicago Advisory Board members enjoy a reception at the Cliff Dwellers, a private club and non-profit organization THROUGH THE GENEROSITY of The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation, The Retirement Research Foundation, the Francis Beidler Foundation, and an individual donor, the new Partners’ Chicago Office was launched at the end of 2008, with the hiring of Gianfranco Grande as Director. Shelley Sandow joined the Chicago office in February 2009 as Project Manager. She earned a B.A. in Sociology and an M.A. in Urban Studies from Loyola University of Chicago. Shelley has over 20 years of experience in public sector economic development, not-for-profit program management, and training and consulting on accessibility issues. For seven years she had served as the technical consultant to the Retirement Research Foundation on its grants program helping religious congregations undertake accessibility renovations to their facilities. Shelley developed an expertise in assisting congregations, notfor-profits, and government agencies improve services to older adults and people with disabilities and increase their ability to use the talents and gifts of these groups. Training In early May, eleven Roman Catholic parishes completed their New Dollars/New Partners training program sponsored by the Archdiocese of Chicago.
