Since its establishment in 1993 Macneil Plastics has developed into a reputable manufacturer of plastic pipes and fittings within the PVC civils and merchant industries. Macneil Plastics operates from a 30,000 square meter facility in the Firgrove Industrial Park, Macassar, Somerset West. We boast a facility that operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week( excluding annual builders’ holidays in December) with a workforce of 330 employees.
We are proud of the wide range of products that we offer – used in the industrial, electrical, building, plumbing, civil, agricultural, municipal and irrigation markets. Our capability of manufacturing using a wide variety of base polymers – PVC Resin( both S67 and S57); HDPE – PE100; CHR440 – Polypropylene; HIPS; LDPE( fencing droppers) – allows us to offer not only the wide variety of products but also production programmes that are flexible to market conditions and customer demands. Our in-house polymer and formulation expertise allow us to meet customer requirements as and when these change.
We consistently strive to manufacture on a cost effective basis thereby offering a complete range of SABS products that also carry our Manufacturers Guarantee, as well as our endorsement from SAPPMA( Southern African Plastic Pipe Manufacturers Association).
Our factory has an annual output capacity of over 16,500 metric tons – this is combined between all product categories. We achieve this within our framework of ISO9001-2015, our partnership with the SABS and also our SAPPMA membership. Adhering to these local and international standards, as well as being proud members of SAPPMA gives you, our most valued clients, suppliers and other business partners the assurance and peace of mind of dealing with a reputable, reliable and trustworthy manufacturer / converter.
Macneil Plastics boasts a total of 19 pipe extruders able to extrude from 25mm up to 400mm( PVC extrusion) and from 20mm – 250mm in terms of HDPE extrusion. We also boast 23 injection moulders which produce a very broad range of plumbing, electrical and irrigation fittings.

These are also SABS approved in majority, although we do produce some non-SABS ranges as well.
