Billie Gamble Undergraduate Faculty Teaching Excellence/
Enrichment Award
Billie Gamble was a teacher and mentor in the College of Nursing
for many years. Her contributions to the careers and lives of
thousands of students will be long remembered. This award,
established by friends, colleagues, and former students of Billie,
is presented to a faculty member who demonstrates sustained
excellence in undergraduate teaching.

Graduate Faculty Teaching Excellence Award
The purpose of the Graduate Faculty Teaching Excellence Award is
to honor faculty excellence in teaching, mentoring, and leadership.
The Graduate Faculty Teaching Excellence Award was established
to honor graduate faculty in the College of Nursing who are
recognized by peers for their distinguished contributions to the
advancement of nursing knowledge in classroom, research and
practice.

Anna Mae (Berg) Spaniolo Endowed Faculty Practice
Enrichment Award
This award recognizes and encourages innovative and creative
scholarly activity. Its purpose is to assist practicing faculty in
obtaining advanced educational experiences and promote the
production and dissemination of knowledge by supporting faculty
practice initiatives. The recipient will receive a restricted monetary
stipend to be used to further the work associated with a practice
initiative. The amount of the award is $2,000.
Anna Mae is remembered by her family as a remarkable professional,
wife, mother, and best friend. She constantly went out of her way
to help those in need and was passionate about service to the
community. This Faculty Practice Award honors Anna Mae’s legacy
and unwavering commitment to nursing excellence and nursing
practice.
