Red Cross Responds to Unprecedented Numbers of Hurricanes and Wildfires
Across the country , the American Red Cross has mobilized in response to destructive hurricanes , including Hurricane Laura and Hurricane Sally , and unrelenting western wildfires , like those in California , Oregon and Washington .
To help devastated communities , we have 1 :
served over 2,080,000 meals and snacks with partners provided nearly 811 , 500 overnight shelter and hotel stays with partners distributed over 270,200 relief items provided over 73,900 individual care contacts deployed over 6,800 disaster workers stood by hundreds of thousands of survivors as they started their long road to recovery
