for their work while learning real-world
skills and building a professional portfolio.
“They are working with current industrytype projects, working with technology,
clients, and having a full experience of how
it is in the workplace,” said Giuliani.
Along with the Spark students, other
students at St. Lawrence College can benefit
as well. How awesome would it be to
virtually “meet” all your future professors
in online videos and have them introduce
their courses before signing up? As well,
modernizing the curriculum caters precisely
to our generation and will make learning in
the classroom more exciting and relatable.
St. Lawrence College as an institution
benefits because the hybridization of
learning and real world experience is
becoming the norm at post-secondary
institutions and the creation of Spark can
help position the College as a leader in the
innovation of education methods through
growth of its hybridized online learning
environment and experiential learning
offerings.
“I’m excited by the students’ willingness to
jump right in and hit the ground running
with work,” said Giuliani.
So, as the semester carries on, look for Spark
projects to start appearing in classrooms near
you.
Congratulations
