SUMMER HIGHLIGHTS Welcome to the Southside Community Centre Southside Community Centre has something for everyone. It is a vibrant meeting place for the local community in the heart of the Southside. The Centre offers a wide variety of activities, interests and courses for all age groups. A new programme will be available at the beginning of September – be sure to pick one up. Rooms are available for private hire, functions, small meetings and regular group meetings. We have a large hall which is ideal for functions and physical activities at a very reasonable price. Good News: Arthur’ s Café opens at Southside Community Centre. The community café at the Southside Centre has now re-opened. Arthur’ s Café is dishing up gastronomic delights Monday – Friday from 11am to 2pm. Family groups are most welcome with a new play area for the toddlers and room for buggies. Fab food at affordable prices and barista coffee.

Fringe Festival Venue During the month of August the Centre becomes a Fringe venue. This year promises to be a bumper year of physical theatre, cabaret and a host of entertainment for all tastes.
Nelson Hall Nelson Hall on the corner of Bernard Terrace and St Leonard’ s Street is run in conjunction with Southside Community Centre and has its own programme of activities and events. Rooms are also available for hire and for prices availability and a programme please contact the Centre. The Southside Museum is located in the Gray Room at Nelson Hall and displays artefacts from the Southside’ s industrial past, school mementoes and many old photographs. Scoosh, the local out of school care club is based at Nelson Hall every afternoon and during the school holidays.
