I n a bid to recognise and reward outstanding design and workmanship in the timber construction, decking and roofing sectors, the Institute for Timber Construction South Africa (ITC-SA) recently hosted its highly-anticipated Annual Timber Engineered Product Awards at the picturesque D'Aria Winery in Cape Town. With the built industry’s cream of the crop in attendance, the event showcased excellence in the timber construction trade honouring builders, architects and engineers of various projects – from decks, boardwalks and loft room additions, to timber frame homes and exposed timber roof trusses. The awards are open only to timber frame builder, deck builder, roof fabricator 8 OCTOBER 2018 CLADDING // CONCRETE // INSULATION // STEEL // THATCH // TIMBER // TRANSLUCENT // WATERPROOFING // COMPONENTS and roof erector members of the ITC-SA.
