PROJECT Tri-Star Construction

A landmark in construction and automotive service

In the ever-evolving automotive repair and restoration landscape, demand for cuttingedge facilities capable of handling the most sophisticated vehicles continues to rise.
Tri-Star Construction proudly completed the new Renew-It Sandton facility, a state-of-the-art panel-beating centre that sets new industry standards. Officially operational since November 2025, the facility exemplifies innovation, precision, and excellence in construction, tailored to the demanding requirements of high-end automotive repairs.
A visionary project
Renew-It Sandton is one of the few accredited panel shops in South Africa capable of servicing luxury and highperformance vehicles, including Rolls-Royce, McLaren, Bentley, and others. This accreditation underscores the importance of the facility’ s design, layout, and construction quality – elements Tri-Star Construction delivered meticulously.
The project was conceived as a comprehensive, multi-level complex integrating functional spaces to meet diverse operational needs. The ground floor houses a spacious warehouse and office area, providing ample space for parts storage, administrative functions, and client consultations.
The first floor is dedicated to office spaces, providing a comfortable environment for management and staff. Above these, the warehouse and spray booth panel shop occupy a dedicated section, optimised for efficiency, safety, and precision. The third floor features a welldesigned canteen, providing workers with a comfortable space to relax and recharge during long shifts.
Ensuring seamless integration
From inception, Tri-Star Construction adopted a collaborative approach with architects, engineers, and the client to develop a facility that is both functional and future-proof. Given the project ' s complexity and scale, the construction process required careful cross-disciplinary coordination to ensure seamless integration of structural elements, services, and finishes.
The project began with extensive earthworks by Metsovo, establishing a solid foundation for the entire structure. This phase was critical in preparing the site for subsequent construction. Once complete, the steel structure, supplied and erected by Tass Engineering, formed the building’ s backbone. Their expertise in steel fabrication and erection ensured the framework met the highest standards of quality and safety.
The building ' s formwork was supplied by Formacon, enabling precise concrete casting of load-bearing elements and internal structures. This collaboration ensured the building’ s structural components were durable and met the specifications for a high-end automotive facility.
Safety and fire protection were paramount in this project. First Fire supplied and installed a comprehensive fire suppression system to safeguard personnel, vehicles, and equipment. The system was seamlessly integrated into the building ' s infrastructure and complied with all safety standards and best practices.
