BUILDING THE CAMPUS
The campus is made up of three secure blocks, with blocks B and C under construction. The entire campus is constructed from converted warehouses.“ Construction of block A started in February 2016 and we were ready by September,” says Huff.
This converted factory warehouse launched in September 2016 and the first phase of 136 units was pre-let a month before the opening date. Phase two is currently under development and comprises a further 123 nano units. The full development once complete will comprise at least 540 units with additional lifestyle facilities.
What sets the campus apart from other housing units are the amenities. The developments include spacious common areas including a lounge area and a café that encourage community interaction, indoor and outdoor playground areas, free Wi-Fi and DStv access, braai areas, a supermarket, café, gym, laundromat, a crèche, hot desk office space, 24-hour bio metric and CCTV security and bicycle parking bays. Each unit has a pre-paid electricity meter and readable water meters.
Live Easy has a pipeline of developments valued at R320-million situated all over Johannesburg which will be complete mid-2017 and others will be constructed in early 2018. Properties consist of a combination of converted warehouses, offices and residential properties.
