The timber we use is called saligna or Eucalyptus grandis . It is our preferred choice with density and hardness and its bending strength well above other timbers , which makes saligna a stronger option . We are also fortunate to control our own drying of the timber with strict controls through a programmable logic controller ( PLC ) system , to ensure the end user receives good quality timber and products .

WHO IS SATAS ?
The South African Technical Auditing Services ( SATAS ) is the relevant quality control organisation in South Africa that adheres to stringent qualification processes .
SATAS is accredited by South African National Accreditation Systems ( SANAS ) to certify manufacturers , producing products within the scope of their accreditation , to the requirements of ISO 17065 .

• SANS 5817- Squareness
• SANS 6128- Resistance to slamming
• SANS 6126- Resistance to soft impact

ATM networks with specialist saw mills that provide us with specially selected logs cut to our specified standards . ATM specialises in sourcing timber that is readily available in the southern African region . We dry our own timber to 8 % to 12 % relative moisture content at our premises to guarantee our standard of quality .
