suke didn’t fight him, and let his feet
follow Naruto.
“What-”
Naruto hugged him tightly.
For a few seconds of paralysis, the air
was knocked out of Sasuke's lungs
with dull bump; slowly his arms rose up
and wrapped around Naruto's back
with ease, as if it had not been too long
weeks since the last time they had done
this. He inhaled life and nostalgia in the
blonde hair. Naruto pushed Sasuke’ scarf
away with his nose, cold from being ex-
posed to the chill weather, and rested
his face on the pale neck. If Sasuke clo-
sed his eyes, he could pretend that he
was on the other side of the sea, at Na-
ruto's small apartment, back to that mo-
ment months ago when Naruto had em-
braced like this, so intense and despera-
te that it made a distant ardor sting on
his dark eyes.
Naruto sighed and a shudder tickled
down Sasuke’s spine; he brought a hand
to the back of the blond head and Naru-
to melted against him.
“I couldn’t do that earlier-ttebayo.”
Sasuke just kept caressing the short
hairs of his nape.
“Sasuke?”
“Hmm?”
“Don’t move,” a trembling murmur
against his skin. “Stay like that… for a
while, yeah?”
“Hm-mh.”
Another content sight abandoned Naru-
to, and his fingers clung to Sasuke’s coat
even more.
He raised his head and blinked, trying
to keep at bay the hot prickling in his
eyes; he stared up at the fragment of
nocturne sky that was visible above the
alley.
“I missed you too, dobe.”
